Synopsis
Arya becomes Su Kang after a mysterious death, waking up in a world defined by cultivation and supernatural abilities. As a gifted member of the Su family, he initially spends his life assisting Li Fang, a man whose arrogance and habit of insulting others create a trail of enemies. This loyalty proves catastrophic when Li Fang's reckless actions result in the slaughter of Su Kang's kin and his own eventual death. Armed with knowledge of the future, Su Kang returns to reclaim his life, determined to stop being a mere accessory to the Child of Destiny. The story takes a sharp turn when his attempts to undermine Li Fang lead to a clash with Bai Yunxi, the mature and beautiful mother of his rival. The writing blends high-stakes conflict with a shifting emotional focus, moving from bitterness to romantic pursuit. It rewards those who enjoy seeing a supporting character seize control, though it might frustrate those wanting a strict action focus.

Editorial Review
With over a hundred chapters released, the work establishes a clear conflict between the regressed protagonist and his former companion. The strongest element is the subversion of the traditional power dynamic, turning the typical sidekick's frustration into a driving force for the plot. The addition of the romantic angle with Bai Yunxi provides a necessary tonal shift that prevents the story from becoming a repetitive cycle of vengeance. However, the chapter lengths are consistently short, averaging between 1.2K and 1.5K words, which occasionally hinders the depth of the world-building and the impact of the action sequences. Given the relatively low view count despite the ongoing daily updates, the story struggles to find a wide audience. It functions as a competent genre piece, though it lacks the narrative density required to truly stand out in a crowded cultivation market.
