"You want me to stay here?" Emerie asked in disbelief, her voice filled with anger."I’m not crazy, so why should I stay here?" Emerie saw Old Mrs. Wilson wasn’t speaking and turned her head furiously to question Old Mrs. Wilson, "Mom, do you not want me either?"
"I’m your daughter!" Emerie shouted, and afterward, Old Mrs. Wilson silenced her by covering her mouth.
"She..." Old Mrs. Wilson wanted to intervene, but was glared at by Old Mrs. Wilson and dared not say anything more.
"If you’re not crazy, then who is? You could even send away your brother’s daughter, what are you really thinking? Knowing Benjamin harbors ill intentions, after divorcing him, you actually remarried him. Even knowing Sophie hates you to death, any sane person would avoid her, but you still went to her!"
After Old Mrs. Wilson finished speaking, he sighed heavily, "I think maybe the doctor was right, you really are ill, just for so many years, we didn’t perceive it."
"Since you’re already in the hospital, you should receive good treatment. Maybe one day you’ll be healed."
Old Mrs. Wilson finished speaking and then turned to leave.
Old Mrs. Wilson stood in place, feeling hurt while watching Emerie struggling on the bed, still hesitant, she heard Old Mrs. Wilson’s cold rebuke: "If you want to stay and accompany her, don’t bother coming back later!"
Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Wilson hurriedly chased after him.
Listening to the noise from Emerie’s struggling bed, her heart felt as if it was being crushed.
They silently returned home all the way, Old Mrs. Wilson couldn’t stop her tears from flowing down.
"Why are you crying?" Old Mrs. Wilson asked angrily, feeling extremely annoyed.
"That’s our Emerie, will she have to stay in such a place in the future?" Old Mrs. Wilson asked, crying in heartache.
"Being able to stay there now is already the best outcome!" Old Mrs. Wilson said in a deep voice, "Do you wish for her to suddenly die for no reason one day?"
Old Mrs. Wilson was so scared that she forgot to cry, looking at Old Mrs. Wilson in shock: "Sophie... is she really capable of murder?"
"This time it was Charles’s people who sent her to the hospital. Charles can give Peace Corporation to Sophie, he can do anything for her, make someone disappear, don’t you think he couldn’t do it?"
"Do you think it’s difficult to find someone to take the blame?"
"But, but... Emerie being in there is just living in pain." Old Mrs. Wilson stammeringly said.
"Be thankful, Charles and Sophie have such strong hatred towards her, otherwise, she wouldn’t even have this chance to suffer." Old Mrs. Wilson had long since figured it out thoroughly.
After Benjamin took over Wilson Corporation, the corporation suddenly faced various difficulties, he understood, the strength of Sophie and Charles was truly unimaginable.
Competing against Sophie is simply like hitting a stone with an egg.
Old Mrs. Wilson looked at the lost and disheartened Old Mrs. Wilson, and said in a deep voice, "At least, she’s still alive..."
Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Wilson’s tears started to flow endlessly like broken beads.
Old Mrs. Wilson didn’t say much, just held the stair handrail, dragging his tired body, moving his stiff steps upstairs.
He now can only accept fate.
He still didn’t understand what kind of person Sophie was, what identity she had.
Is her power too great?
Sophie... where did she get such abilities?
