Sophie Wilson saw Emerie Wilson’s reaction and couldn’t help but laugh: "What? You figured out why too?"
"Benjamin Walton is really something, huh? He used you as a pawn but didn’t even bother to tell you the reason. Emerie Wilson, you’re so used to manipulating others, didn’t expect you’d be the one to fall flat, did you?"
"Didn’t you always have your parents to do everything for you, while you just enjoyed the convenience without contributing? Not used to this current situation, right?"
Sophie’s words made Emerie’s face even more grim, yet she stubbornly forced out a sentence: "I...I don’t know what you’re talking about."
Sophie laughed, not caring whether Emerie admitted or not.
Admitting or not admitting didn’t make any difference to her, seeing how Benjamin’s company is already in such a state.
"Sophie Wilson, you really..." Benjamin Walton started, his voice hoarse and unpleasant. Before he came, he held on to a glimmer of hope that maybe Sophie Wilson didn’t have the power to suddenly raise the demands of the quality inspection department for his company.
But now that last bit of hope was shattered by Sophie Wilson, forcing Benjamin to face the cruel truth he least wanted to believe.
"See, I told you before, it was me who did it, but you refused to believe." Sophie sighed helplessly, "You tell me, why is it so hard to be honest?"
Benjamin didn’t even know what expression to put on anymore.
The difficulties Wilson Corporation faced back then, are now being encountered by the Walton family’s company. At this moment, even if he wanted to deceive himself into believing Sophie wasn’t behind it, it was impossible.
Coincidence?
How could such a coincidence exist?
After he took over Wilson Corporation, the quality inspection standards suddenly rose like this. Then when Mason Wilson took over Wilson Corporation, everything returned to normal, and in turn, the Walton family’s company faced the same problem.
This isn’t something that can be explained by coincidence.
Emerie wasn’t oblivious, she realized it as well.
"Sophie Wilson, you actually meddled... Aren’t you afraid I’ll report you for bribery?" Emerie threatened.
"Well, you can try." Sophie laughed indifferently, "I think Benjamin Walton has already attempted that, and as for the outcome... everyone knows."
"Isn’t it strange? Isn’t it good for departments to be strict with products that are about to launch? It’s taking responsibility for consumers. Yet your company insists on lowering the standards, what’s the aim? Trying to make money to the point of madness, not caring about product safety, what do you intend to do?" Sophie questioned righteously.
"That standard is completely unreasonable, outrageously high!" Emerie shouted angrily.
"The higher the better for consumers." Sophie said with a smile, "You can conduct a survey in the market to see if consumers want the standards raised?"
Emerie’s face flushed with anger, Sophie Wilson is simply shameless.
"Sophie Wilson, what exactly do you want?" Benjamin finally spoke up, conceding defeat in his first words.
"I don’t want anything, I just want to be more responsible towards consumers." Sophie’s smile sent a chill down Benjamin’s spine.
He knew that whether the Walton family could continue to exist relied entirely on whether Sophie Wilson decided to let them go.
He never thought Sophie Wilson would have such power, he really... miscalculated.
