"Dad, what do you mean?" Ethan Seymour was anxious. After working painstakingly for the company for so many years, was it all for nothing?
"Just what you heard!" Old Mr. Seymour sneered. Did they really think he was too old to have a temper?
"Dad, if you don’t hand the company to me, who are you going to give it to?" Ethan Seymour’s anger flared up. "I’ve been giving my life for the company all along..."
"Hmph." Old Mr. Seymour found it amusing to listen.
"You’ve been giving your life for the company? Since you joined the company, have you expanded Seymour Corporation’s business or achieved any breakthroughs in performance? Over the years, Seymour Corporation has been following its original trajectory. What have you done for Seymour Corporation?"
How dare Ethan Seymour say he’s been giving his life for the company?
All these years, the company has just maintained its normal operations.
"Dad, no matter what, even if there’s no achievement, I’ve at least put in the effort." Ethan Seymour felt the old man’s words were too hurtful.
"You’ve never missed a penny of your dividends." Old Mr. Seymour mocked.
If that money was given to other employees, it might not even require as much.
Ethan Seymour was infuriated and angrily said, "If it’s not handed over to me, then who? Is it going to my brother?"
"Dad, my brother is already quite old. He may have the desire, but not the energy. Or are you considering giving it to Evelyn. Dad, even though Evelyn is my brother’s daughter, she’s married into the Campbell Clan. Also, given her age, can she really learn to take over now?"
"Isn’t there Julian Campbell? I think Julian Campbell is quite good." Old Mr. Seymour’s words were like a sledgehammer, directly stunning Ethan Seymour.
He asked incredulously, "Who?"
"Julian Campbell." Old Mr. Seymour spoke naturally, "Julian Campbell is young and it’s great for him to join the company now to learn."
"Dad, are you alright? Our Seymour Family’s business is going to be handed over to someone with the surname Campbell?" Ethan Seymour really couldn’t understand.
"It’s certainly better than handing it over to someone with the surname Reed!" Old Mr. Seymour was firm on this matter.
"James is my son, he could take the name Seymour, but you never agreed. That’s why he..."
"I don’t agree now, and I’ll never agree, not even if I die!" Old Mr. Seymour interrupted Ethan’s words, "You should leave now, I still want to have dinner with my grandson and granddaughter-in-law."
"Dad, you are so biased!" Ethan Seymour accused, glaring at Old Mr. Seymour.
"I am biased just like this!" Old Mr. Seymour was unreasonable, and Ethan Seymour had no choice but to angrily glare at Charles Seymour before leaving dejectedly.
"Such nonsense," Old Mr. Seymour pressed his aching head. Ethan Seymour’s years with the Reed mother and son seemed to have dulled his mind.
"Alright, let’s eat." Old Mr. Seymour didn’t take Ethan Seymour seriously, inviting Charles Seymour and Sophie Wilson to eat.
At the dinner table, everyone was chatting and laughing. Ethan Seymour’s appearance didn’t affect their good mood at all.
After dinner, Sophie Wilson chatted with Old Mr. and Mrs. Seymour for a while before leaving.
When she reached the garden, Sophie Wilson suddenly looked up towards the villa upstairs.
"What’s wrong?" Charles Seymour asked.
"Oh, it’s nothing." Sophie Wilson laughed and shook her head. She felt someone watching her just now, but now that feeling was gone; it must have been an illusion.
