"Why are you here?" Gu Lingling practically pounced forward, laughing as she spoke, "Did you finish everything?"
Yang Yunhai has been busy lately, and no one knows exactly what he’s been up to, anyway, it’s all mysterious with Su Ziqiao and the others.
"It’s done." Yang Yunhai said while warming her hands, "Shall we go eat?"
Gu Lingling nodded and asked him again, "Have you eaten?"
"Not yet." It wasn’t Yang Yunhai who answered her, but Su Ziqiao, who got out of the passenger seat, "He said he wanted to see you, I’m starving."
Su Ziqiao complained.
Yang Yunhai glanced at him lightly, "You didn’t have to come along."
Who insisted on shamelessly tagging along?
"Hey Lingling, why don’t you ask if Lianlian has eaten? Maybe we can all go out for a meal." Su Ziqiao leaned over grinning and said, "We have to eat anyway."
"At this hour, I guess she’s already eaten." Gu Lingling said.
"Even if she has, she can eat a bit more. It’s not good for girls to be too skinny," Su Ziqiao said.
Gu Lingling, "..."
Just say you want to pursue her, what’s that got to do with being fat or thin?
"Come on, be a good sister and help your brother this once," Su Ziqiao said with a bitter face, "She avoids me whenever she sees me, doesn’t even want to talk anymore."
Since that kiss, he’s been looking for Hao Lianlian several times, but hasn’t gotten the chance to see her even once.
Once he just happened to catch Hao Lianlian after class, clearly saw him there, but she turned a corner to evade him.
It infuriates him, but he can’t say anything, fearing she’ll run even further.
So, after finishing his errands, he heard Yang Yunhai was going to Kyoto University to find Gu Lingling and tagged along shamelessly.
"Please, Lingling, good sister," Su Ziqiao even tried to grab Gu Lingling’s sleeve and act coy, but was stopped by Yang Yunhai’s sharp glare.
"I’ll go check; maybe she’s not at school or already eaten," Gu Lingling said.
"Alright then." Su Ziqiao happily opened the passenger seat door for Gu Lingling, "Good sister, please come in."
Gu Lingling shook her head helplessly.
"Not here? How could she not be here?" Su Ziqiao didn’t believe it, considering how hard it was to get Gu Lingling to step in.
"She’s gone out." The guard aunt knew Gu Lingling and wasn’t annoyed by Su Ziqiao’s attitude as she spoke, "She seemed quite anxious."
Gu Lingling frowned, "Thank you, Aunt."
Su Ziqiao wanted to ask more, but was stopped by Gu Lingling.
"Lingling, I’m so glad you’re here." Just then, someone called out to Gu Lingling, she turned to see Huang Li, Hao Lianlian’s roommate, hurriedly walking back from outside.
"What’s going on? Lili, did you see Lianlian?" Gu Lingling asked.
"Hao Lianlian suddenly got a call saying her Grandpa has arrived in Capital City, so she rushed to the train station," Huang Li said.
"Grandpa Hao came to Capital City?" Gu Lingling said in shock, "Any idea what happened?"
"They said he’s sick, you should go check on her quickly; Lianlian looks like she’s about to cry," Huang Li said, "I couldn’t catch up to her, so I had to come back."
"Alright, thank you, Lili." Gu Lingling immediately got anxious upon hearing this, said goodbye to Huang Li, then quickly got into Yang Yunhai’s car.
Grandpa Hao and Hao Lianlian depend on each other; if something happens to him, Gu Lingling really can’t imagine what would happen?
"Don’t worry, it’ll be fine." Yang Yunhai said as he drove.
The car sped quickly towards the train station.
