In one sentence, the topic was pulled back to Mason Bennett. Vivian Thornecroft furrowed her brow slightly and glanced at Louis Lawrence.
Louis raised his chin slightly, giving him an arrogant smile.
"Mason Bennett, what exactly do you want to say?"
Mr. Lawrence said angrily.
Mason looked at Vivian, his gaze as cold as shattered ice, exuding a chilling aura.
"What I want to say, perhaps you know even better, don’t you?"
These words were directed at Vivian.
It directly left Vivian dumbfounded.
He too was waiting for Mason to speak, but didn’t expect him to toss the conversation his way?
"How would I know what Mr. Mason wants to say?"
Because of what happened earlier, Vivian’s voice was tinged with coldness.
Mason expressionlessly looked at Vivian with an icy gaze.
"How are things at the Lawrence Family these days?"
Vivian narrowed his eyes behind his glasses, unsure of Mason’s intentions.
He also realized that certain things were drifting away from the direction he could estimate and control.
Yet these were things he didn’t know at all.
This realization made him somewhat agitated.
But he knew he was powerless against Mason, though Mr. Lawrence was not!
"Mr. Mason is aggressively suppressing the Lawrence Family, and yet you have the audacity to ask this question. Is it that you don’t respect our Lawrence Family?"
Vivian’s voice took on a sharper edge, redirecting the conversation back to the Lawrence Family.
Sure enough, Mr. Lawrence’s face instantly darkened, looking gloomily at Mason.
However, the man stood there with his back straight, unfazed by any pressure.
Without a hint of guilt.
"This is just an appetizer. Previously, because of Bella, I didn’t have the time to deal with you. Now, haven’t I come in person?"
The man’s voice was deep and cold, laced with a chilling threat.
Leaving everyone perplexed.
Vivian’s nerves were tightly wound.
From the moment Mason entered to now, he had been analyzing his every word.
Trying his best to guess, but finding it difficult to discern even a fraction.
He really didn’t understand Mason’s intentions.
This feeling of helplessness made him very uncomfortable.
Vivian lowered his eyes before speaking after a moment.
"Mr. Mason, don’t be too overbearing. Everyone in our family is very worried about Bella. Even though so many days have passed, we haven’t given up. Grandpa has almost been hospitalized several times because of this matter."
Vivian suddenly shifted the tone, raised his head, and looked at Louis. His eyes behind the glasses grew darker.
"Previously, my cousin mentioned me and Bella. I think Mr. Mason might have misunderstood. Bella and I have known each other since earlier years. However, I’ve always been engaged to Anna, and to Bella, I’ve always seen her as a sister. In fact, we’ve only met a few times in Hyattville City. If Mr. Mason is holding a grudge because of this, he’s barking up the wrong tree."
Vivian was actually attempting to steer the conversation and inadvertently dragged Louis into it.
Unexpectedly, he unintentionally hit the mark.
Mr. Lawrence was unaware of the disputes between the young people, though Vivian had mentioned it before.
Additionally, when Bella stayed here, she had no conflicts seen with Vivian, leading to no further thoughts.
"Mason Bennett, is that why you’re suppressing my Lawrence Family?"
Mr. Lawrence’s tone was filled with displeasure.
Not to mention the current conflict, he held Mason in high regard and admiration.
Capable, smart.
But if it was because of petty jealousy, making a huge fuss, it would be utterly foolish!
