After reaching an agreement, Ye Yun successfully traded his share of the profits for power armor units No. 2 and No. 6.
The other shelter managers also selected corresponding supplies based on their needs and profit shares.
During the distribution process, everyone also traded some supplies amongst themselves to optimize their resource allocation.
In the end, all the supplies were successfully distributed, and everyone was satisfied with the outcome of the operation.
Ye Yun looked at the distribution results on the screen, a satisfied smile on his face.
"Everyone, this operation’s success wouldn’t have been possible without our collective efforts."
"Not only did we acquire valuable power armor and other resources, but more importantly, we deepened the trust and cooperation between us."
"I believe that as long as we continue to stand united, there’s nothing we can’t overcome."
"Alright, there isn’t much time left before the Teleportation Gate closes. Everyone should head back to their own shelters."
After reaching a consensus, the teams from the various shelters began preparing to leave.
They returned to their respective shelters one by one through the Alliance Teleportation Gate.
Ye Yun stared at the two suits of power armor before him, his face alight with excitement.
Honestly, he had thought that getting even one suit of power armor from this operation would have been a fantastic result. He never imagined that the best-case scenario would come with a super-sized bonus.
[T-45 Power Armor (Purple)]
[Type: Power Armor]
[Defense: 130]
[Attack Power: 50-80]
[Speed: 0-10 km/h]
[Durability: 5000/5000]
[This is one of the first suits of power armor produced before the Cataclysm. Its appearance is quite crude, likely because it’s a first-generation model.]
[Required Attributes: Strength 8, Endurance 6, Perception 5]
[Nuclear Power Reserve: None]
[Requires a new nuclear battery to be installed for normal operation.]
[Function Slot 1: Empty]
[Function Slot 2: Empty]
[Function Slot 3: Empty]
One of the suits was the worst of the six, though.
But even the worst suit of power armor was still power armor. As the saying goes, a starved camel is still bigger than a horse. No matter how bad it was, its overall stats far surpassed any exoskeleton.
However, a very serious problem soon presented itself to Ye Yun.
All six suits of power armor were missing their batteries.
Perhaps this was also the reason why the warehouse patrolmen hadn’t been wearing the power armor on their patrols.
After all, nuclear batteries were extremely expensive. They could even be used as hard currency on the market.
Ye Yun immediately opened the exchange, but after a thorough search, he confirmed once again that there were no nuclear batteries in the warehouse.
He figured the things had to be Purple-grade items at the very least.
Even if someone had one, they probably wouldn’t be willing to trade it.
Right now, the highest-grade items on the exchange were some Purple components.
After all, at this stage, probably very few people had Purple-grade blueprints.
And even if they did, few could gather all the materials required. And even if they gathered the materials, they most likely couldn’t afford the risk of a crafting failure.
After only a moment’s hesitation, Ye Yun went to the public chatroom and posted another request.
[WTB two nuclear batteries. Add me as a friend to negotiate the price.]
Seeing Ye Yun’s post, the public chatroom immediately burst into activity.
[What’s a nuclear battery? Can any of the big shots enlighten us?]
[Brother Ye is always after some badass shit!]
[Looking for nuclear batteries? Now that’s a big spender!]
[Two nuclear batteries... could Brother Ye have found power armor???]
[As expected of a top player. When he makes a move, it’s for high-end supplies like this.]
[No way. How could we possibly get something like that at this stage?]
[The guy above me needs a reality check. Sometimes the difference between two people is bigger than the difference between a person and a dog.]
[A nuclear battery has to be at least a Blue-grade item, right?]
[You’re dreaming. I bet that thing is Purple-grade at minimum!]
Ye Yun saw the discussion in the chatroom but didn’t interject. He just waited quietly for someone to contact him.
He knew that such a rare resource wouldn’t be easy to acquire. He had to be patient.
This wait was longer than any before.
After a good half a day had passed, a trade window suddenly popped up.
[General-Purpose Nuclear Battery (Purple)]
[Description: A nuclear battery produced before the Cataclysm.]
[Charge: 52%]
Although its charge was only at 52%, it was, without a doubt, a genuine nuclear battery.
The trade window remained open for five seconds before automatically closing.
A message from the other party popped up immediately after.
Zhang Dong:
[You must be Brother Ye. I’ve heard a lot about you. You should know how valuable this thing is.]
[Very few people even have Purple-grade items right now, let alone anyone willing to sell one.]
[I went through hell and back to get this nuclear battery. One of my people even died for it.]
[Make me an offer. If it’s right, I’ll sell it to you.]
Ye Yun read the message but didn’t respond immediately.
Just as the other guy said, Purple-grade items were too rare right now to price carelessly.
As for the sob story about a member dying to get the battery, Ye Yun dismissed it as nothing but talk. He didn’t take it seriously at all.
’He’s probably just trying to drive up the price.’
Currently, the price of Green and Blue-grade items was about 5 to 10 times the price of their corresponding components.
Meaning, a Green-grade item would cost between 5 and 10 Green-grade components.
Ye Yun thought for a moment before making his offer.
[8 Purple components.]
After seeing Ye Yun’s offer, Zhang Dong seemed to hesitate. He didn’t reply right away.
Ye Yun didn’t press him, knowing that a deal like this required giving the other party some time to think. After a while, Zhang Dong finally replied.
[Brother Ye, 8 Purple components is a lot, I’ll admit, but you know what this thing is worth.]
[I paid a heavy price to get this battery. 8 Purple components, while a lot, doesn’t quite meet my expectations.]
[How about this: Brother Ye, you add another 4 Purple components for a total of 12, and the battery is yours.]
[This is an item you can’t just find when you want one. At this stage, I’m probably the only one who has it.]
[Miss this chance, and you won’t get another one.]
Ye Yun read the message and considered it.
’12 Purple components... that’s definitely not a small number.’
’The current exchange rate is 12 to 14 Blue components for a single Purple one.’
’12 Purple components... that’s 150 Blue components.’
’If this nuclear battery had a bit more charge, I’d grit my teeth and accept 12 components, even if it’s a bit high.’
’But the charge is only 52%. That’s just too low.’
’The price I had in mind was around 10 Purple components.’
’12 Purple components is clearly more than I was expecting to pay.’
