After all, these were items that could control large mutated creatures. Even if he couldn’t use them now, they would prove their worth later on.
Once he confirmed there were no other good deals to be had, Ye Yun didn’t linger on the Exchange. He knew the most important thing right now was to focus on the current crisis.
He closed the Exchange interface and turned his attention back to his shelter’s defenses.
The battle was still ongoing, but the outcome was becoming increasingly clear.
The team led by Bena had the situation completely under control. Despite their numbers, the mutated creatures couldn’t pose a substantial threat to the shelter.
As time went on, the mutated creatures’ assault gradually weakened.
Ye Yun noticed that while the creatures were ferocious, their attack patterns and behavior seemed somewhat mechanical, lacking any effective tactical coordination.
This made it much easier for Bena’s team to handle them.
The battle lasted for several hours. In the end, thanks to the efforts of Bena and his team, all the mutated creatures were eliminated.
The shelter’s defense was a success, and it hadn’t sustained much damage.
With the crisis at the main shelter resolved, Ye Yun immediately had Bena and his team rest.
Although the situation at the main shelter was resolved, a huge horde of mutated creatures was swarming Sub-base No. 2.
Worried about the situation at Sub-base No. 2, Bena and his team didn’t rest for long. Half an hour later, their motorcycle sped off into the distance, kicking up a cloud of dust and smoke.
With support from Bena’s team, the crisis at Sub-base No. 2 was also quickly resolved.
Although the sub-base’s defenses suffered some damage, the overall losses were not severe.
With all that taken care of, Ye Yun finally felt up to checking on how everyone else was doing.

A few more hours passed, and the number of surviving shelters finally stopped dropping.
