Peacock Tower was a full thirty-three stories tall, appearing to pierce the heavens when viewed from a distance.
The standard for this auction was exceptionally high; prospective attendees had to provide proof of possessing at least two thousand Demon Stones just to enter.
Even so, an enormous number of Demons were still participating.
Although Xu Chang’an didn’t have high hopes, he still came to attend the auction.
Even if he couldn’t win any of the items, it would still be worthwhile just to gather some information.
Besides, if a Spiritual Item capable of improving one’s bloodline aptitude were to appear, he wanted to know which Great Demon ended up with it.
If an opportunity arose, he could then make a plan.
When he came to the auction, Xu Chang’an did not travel with the Demons from the Flame Leaf Elixir Workshop.
He maintained his disguise as a Gray Rat Demon but changed his attire. Dressed in a black cloak that enveloped his figure, he entered Peacock Tower.
The auction hall was vast, large enough to accommodate tens of thousands of Demons.
In the center was a circular stage, surrounded by an Array Restriction.
Arranged in a circle around the stage were exclusive cattail cushions, which served as the seating for ordinary Demons attending the auction.
In addition to the standard seating, there were also private rooms and VIP boxes.
Unlike a conventional auction house, each seat was protected by an Array Restriction to prevent prying from nearby Demons.
Furthermore, to prevent attendees from feeling intimidated by the status of powerful Great Demons and hesitating to bid, this auction offered an alternative to the usual shouting. Bidders could also use their Demon Power to activate the Array at their seat and enter their bid amount directly.
The bids would then be displayed on a light screen on the central stage.
Xu Chang’an was seated in the common area. As soon as he sat down, an Array Restriction activated, enveloping him in a soft halo of light.
’It can even block Demon Sense. This Array is quite impressive!’
Xu Chang’an probed it briefly with his senses and was quite satisfied.
The Array Restriction on his cushion seemed to be connected to the main grand Array of Peacock Tower, making its power immense.
Even the Demon Sense of a top-tier Great Demon would struggle to penetrate it.
This level of concealment completely surpassed Xu Chang’an’s expectations.
After a brief observation of his surroundings, Xu Chang’an quietly waited for the auction to begin.
This auction was scheduled to last for three days with no breaks, a continuous event from start to finish.
The participants were, at a minimum, Old Demons at the Late-stage of Qi Refining, so sitting for a mere three days was naturally not an issue.
As time went on, more and more Demons filed into the auction hall.
Finally, once a certain number of attendees had arrived, a Peacock Demon appeared on the central stage.
Their cultivation was, impressively, at the Late-stage of Foundation Establishment.

The Peacock Demon’s voice was sonorous, carrying throughout the entire hall.

As the Peacock Demon finished speaking, a screen of light materialized above the circular stage.
On the screen appeared the image and description of the very first auction item.
