"The expedition won’t begin for a while."
Krell looked at Andre and spoke slowly, turning the conversation to the matter at hand.
Andre nodded. He already knew this.
"You will be among the first wave of the Expeditionary Corps to enter the Otherworld."
Krell’s words made Andre’s eyes widen. ’Me? The first wave? Is he serious?’
"Therefore, you don’t have much time. Only by becoming an Official Wizard will you have any chance of surviving this kind of war."
"These are supplies for you. Consider it a bit of help from me, your unqualified teacher."
Krell waved his hand, and chests landed in front of Andre. Andre looked at the chests and blinked.
"Radak has assigned you a Stone Giant Legion, and I have assigned you a Beastman Tribe to act as your guards."
"Of course, you can’t meet them yet. The king of the Beastman Tribe is already an Official Wizard. At your current Realm, you have no way of winning their loyalty or making them serve you. You must become an Official Wizard as soon as possible to bring them under your command."
Upon hearing this, Andre nodded.
"That’s all for now. If you run into any problems later, you can come ask me."
As Krell said this, his tone inexplicably weakened.
For anyone else, those words might have been useful.
But to Andre, they were nothing more than a gesture.
Andre nodded, placing the Colorless Potion and its antidote into his Storage Ring.
Then, he put the chests in front of him into the Storage Ring as well and promptly turned to leave.
As he passed Farrete, Andre reached out and took the Thousand Extremes Potion from his hand.
"..." Farrete stared at the Thousand Extremes Potion, which he hadn’t even had a chance to warm in his hand, then looked at Andre with an intense gaze.
But Andre left without a backward glance.
"Ancestor, you just let him leave like that?"
The moment Andre was gone, Selena cried out to Krell.
"What else could I do? He pulled out the Colorless Potion! What was I supposed to do?"
Krell looked at Selena and said helplessly.
"Ancestor, he was clearly threatening you!"
"Of course I know he was threatening me! But why would he threaten me, his teacher? What’s the reason? Who caused this to happen?!"
Faced with Selena’s complaint, Krell spoke with immense frustration.
Because Selena had been attacked as a child, the entire family doted on her excessively. It was precisely these circumstances that shaped her personality.
"Enough. You don’t need to say another word."
Seeing that Selena was about to say more, Krell cut her off.
"Have you ever stopped to consider what you all did to make him act this way? To threaten me, his teacher, right to my face?"
Hearing Krell’s words, Selena opened her mouth, but ultimately closed it again.
"He’s not an idiot. You lot were following him so closely back then, but after that day, did a single one of you go look for him?"
"In a situation like that, anyone could see that you were after what he had."
"And you were the one who hurt him the most. You are my kinswoman, and I am his teacher. It was because of this connection that he accepted you, tolerated your actions, and allowed a relationship to develop between you."
"But you? Did you treat him like a friend? Huh? No. You treated him like a thief."
"You have to understand, you were his first friend after he entered the academy."
"Even if that friendship was based on your connection to me, it was still a friendship."
"But you treated him like this, even trying to ’steal back’ something from him that was never there in the first place. What kind of behavior is that?"
"With that kind of behavior, who would want to be friends with you?"
"Let me tell you, it’s only because I’m here and he’s hoping for my help as his teacher that he took out that poison."
"And that poison? It was prepared for you lot."
The more Krell spoke, the angrier he became.
But as he reached the end of his tirade, Krell’s tone suddenly grew weary.
"He’d dare?!" Selena’s eyes widened when she heard this.
"What wouldn’t he dare? You tell me, what is there that he wouldn’t dare to do?"
"The expedition is about to begin. If you run into each other during the expedition, he wouldn’t even need to poison you to ensure your death."
"He just has to endure for a little while longer. Once the expedition starts, he can carry out his plan. In the Otherworld, distance and time will erase all traces of what happened between you."
"At that point, even if we suspect Andre did it, what about the proof? You tell me, where would the proof be?"
"Then we’ll capture him and interrogate him!"
Selena’s reaction left Krell utterly speechless.
"Do you have any idea? His teacher is Radak, and Radak’s teacher is about to become a Red Sun Great Wizard."
"Interrogate him? Our families are going to interrogate the disciple of a disciple of a Red Sun Great Wizard? Who would dare?!"
At this, Krell, overcome with emotion, threw his Magic Staff to the ground. With a loud CRASH, it smashed a hole in the floor.
Startled by Krell’s outburst, Selena shivered.
Farrete looked at Selena, sighed helplessly, and picked up the Magic Staff.
"Teacher, there’s still a chance to salvage the situation!"
Farrete handed the Magic Staff back to Krell while trying to placate his anger.
"A chance to salvage it? You tell me, where is this chance?"
"Radak has already reported this entire affair to my teacher! My teacher!"
Krell’s voice began to boom, and countless fine arcs of lightning started to crackle across the surface of his skin.
These arcs of lightning appeared on Krell’s skin because he was so furious that his Magic Power was leaking out of his body.
"Have you forgotten all the lessons the family gave you growing up? All those lessons on how to get along with people—you’ve thrown them all away, haven’t you?!"
"Now, go home immediately and retake every single one of those lessons."
Hearing Krell’s command, Selena immediately pouted.
But before Selena could say a word, Krell rubbed the Ring on his hand.
Instantly, a Gate of Space appeared, and Selena was sucked inside.
"When you’ve finished your lessons, you can come out. Otherwise, you won’t even know what hit you when you die."
As Krell finished speaking, the Gate of Space gradually faded away.
"Teacher, wasn’t that a bit much?"
Farrete asked, looking at the furious Krell.
