The most common dangers Star Realm Battleships faced in the Endless Star Realm were sudden spatial rifts, as well as the debris and remains left behind after a powerful expert died or a world was destroyed.
Magic Energy Giant Cannons and Deflection Fields were very effective at clearing away such things.
However, a rare few who navigated the Star Realm were unlucky enough to encounter other powerful experts adventuring from different worlds.
It was fine if both parties went their separate ways.
But if a battle broke out, that was when the Star Realm Battleship’s special Witchcraft Artifacts—the War Witchcraft Artifacts—came into play.
"Generally speaking, Star Realm Battleships come standard with ordinary War Witchcraft Artifacts like the Magic Energy Giant Cannon."
"But the Magic Energy Giant Cannon possesses ultimate destructive power. To achieve other effects on a Star Realm Battleship, such as capturing or trapping people, you must use other War Witchcraft Artifacts."
Andre frowned, his eyes fixed on the book in his hands.
War Witchcraft Artifacts were a special type of large-scale Witchcraft Artifact that essentially transferred the War Witchcraft performed by a Wizard Legion onto a Star Realm Battleship.
This type of artifact typically relied on a town’s Witchcraft Array and the Star Realm Battleship’s Energy Core to function.
It was this very design that made War Witchcraft Artifacts so expensive.
A decent War Witchcraft Artifact could cost as much as a quarter of a Star Realm Battleship.
This was exactly what worried Andre. With his current resources and wealth, he could afford to commission one War Witchcraft Artifact and one Star Realm Battleship at most, and doing so would drain his finances completely.
That was the terrifying aspect of War Witchcraft Artifacts: they were brutal to the enemy and just as brutal to their owner.
’Unless I sell the Secret Realm, I’ll definitely end up broke. At the end of the day, I’m just not rich enough. Even though I have a Secret Realm, I haven’t had it for long. It’ll be decades before it can start producing anything.’
Andre scratched his head in frustration. There were only a few War Witchcraft Artifacts in the entire branch institute, and the ones they did have were just the standard-issue Magic Energy Giant Cannons.
’I either have to give up on commissioning a Star Realm Battleship and commission a War Witchcraft Artifact instead, or commission a Star Realm Battleship and give up on the War Witchcraft Artifact.’
Andre’s head throbbed. He was so stressed he felt like his head was about to explode.
Who knew what kind of problems he would encounter on this expedition?
So, when navigating the Star Realm, the more functions a Star Realm Battleship had, the better. That was the only way to increase the chances of survival.
’Either option is incredibly expensive.’
Andre considered his assets. Aside from a few special Magic Plants, his most valuable possessions were the Divine Art inheritance, the Gale Gate, and treasures like the Constant Teleportation Array.
But there was no way he could sell the Constant Teleportation Gate right now.
The Gale Gate was also out of the question. Once he reached the Otherworld, he would need it to defend his territory.
This kind of large-scale Divine Power Tool was created for war.
And he had six more large-scale Divine Power Tools like the Gale Gate.
But he had already planned uses for all six of them. He supposed he could squeeze one out to sell.
But that would create a problem. He would have to modify and scale down the defense system he had already planned for his territory.
’I’ll take the Divine Art inheritance I got from the Secret Realm and sell it!’
’A single sale won’t fetch as much as the Gale Gate or the Constant Teleportation Array, but I can sell copies of it multiple times!’
Inspiration struck Andre as he realized he had something he could sell in large quantities.
He immediately took out the Divine Art inheritance. Placing the Memory Crystal against his forehead, he infused it with Magic Power and recorded the Divine Arts into his mind. Then, he took out new Memory Crystals.
He then inscribed the Divine Art inheritance onto these new crystals.
’Once I get to the Main Institute, I’ll sell this Divine Art inheritance!’
’If I sell it here at the branch, not only will the price be low, but the great families will find out about it too easily.’
’Around now, they should be attacking the Secret Realm!’
As Andre finished inscribing the last Divine Art into a Memory Crystal, he turned his head to look in the direction where the Secret Realm had been.
He suddenly recalled that a year had passed. The Morning Star Great Wizards from the great families should have returned from the Star Realm by now.
「Meanwhile, in an unknown location within the Senbai World.」
Tate, a Morning Star Great Wizard who had just returned from the Star Realm, stared at the Secret Realm before him with a grave expression. He was one of two Morning Star Great Wizards in Selena’s family, and one of its ancestors.
Tate had no idea that Andre had already refined and taken the Secret Realm.
The Secret Realm he was looking at was merely an illusion, formed from the Divine Arts and Divine Arrays that Angelson had left behind.
"Ancestor, do you think we can open it this time?"
The man standing beside Tate was Kraken, Selena’s father. He directed his question to his ancestor.
"I can’t be sure. Angelson placed a Constant Teleportation Array outside this Secret Realm, which means whatever is inside was extremely important to him."
"Therefore, there are bound to be other Divine Arts and Divine Arrays involved. Have everyone else move back."
Tate shook his head, his expression grim as he looked at Kraken.
Seeing his ancestor’s expression, Kraken nodded and ordered the members of the great families to fall back.
Once the members of the great families had reached a safe distance, Tate took a deep breath. Countless particles then drifted out from his body, gathering behind him to form a colossal figure hundreds of meters tall.
This was an ability Wizards gained after breaking through to the rank of Morning Star Great Wizard. It was called the Morning Star Golem.
After deploying this ability, a Morning Star Great Wizard could mobilize Magic Power and cast Witchcraft several times faster than before.
It was also the core of Field Witchcraft.
After summoning the Morning Star Golem, Tate immediately cast a Witchcraft spell, preparing to shatter the Divine Array of Divine Patterns before him.
"Angelson, you’ve been dead for 3,000 years, and the Senbai World has already collapsed once. The Divine Array you left behind can’t be that strong anymore."
Tate brandished his Magic Staff, a sharp glint flashing in his eyes. With a fierce wave, a dazzling light erupted from the palm of the Morning Star Golem behind him.
"Radiant Impact!" In an instant, a beam of blindingly pure white light illuminated the entire area, continuously battering the Divine Array ahead.
When the Morning Star Golem appeared behind Tate, Kraken and the others quickly shut their eyes, lest they be blinded by the Radiant Impact Witchcraft.
Under attack, the Divine Array began to shift constantly. Layers of golden light stacked one upon another, holding back the Radiant Impact.
Seeing the Divine Array flickering with golden light under the assault of his Radiant Impact, Tate began to increase his Magic Power output.
As he poured in more Magic Power, the Level 3 Witchcraft, Radiant Impact, empowered by the Morning Star Golem, erupted with even greater Power, nearly reaching the level of Morning Star Witchcraft.
