「A month later」
Everyone in the First Expeditionary Corps stepped into the Teleportation Array according to their names and assigned order.
Andre was in the seventh row. His name was called before long, and he stepped into the Teleportation Array.
After passing through the array, they arrived outside the White Sea World.
Everyone in the First Expeditionary Corps now stood on a massive rock island.
Around the island, countless points of light flickered nonstop.
Those flickers were the effect of a Witch Array clashing with the deadly radiation of the Star Realm.
Before long, everyone had gathered on the rock island.
"Everyone, deploy your Star Realm Battleships in order! Then, form up and advance according to the Star Realm coordinates!"
The one shouting was Josen, one of the three Moonlight Great Mages dispatched by the White Sea Wizard Academy for this expedition. He slowly moved to the front of the crowd.
At his command, the Wizards in the front rank took out their Star Realm Battleships, deployed them, and flew aboard.
They needed the ships to resist the deadly radiation of the Star Realm.
As the Star Realm Battleships expanded, they began to wobble. But then a light flared from each one, and they instantly stabilized.
"Continue!" Josen shouted once he saw the first batch of Star Realm Battleships had been deployed.
The Wizards in the second row then deployed their own Star Realm Battleships.
Soon, the Star Realm Battleships from the third, fourth, and fifth rows were deployed as well.
Under the guidance of a Morning Star Great Wizard, the battleships flew a short distance from the rock island and began assembling into formation.
Soon, the sixth row deployed their Star Realm Battleships, and then it was Andre’s turn.
Andre took out the Star Realm Battleship his grandmaster had given him.
He deployed the Star Realm Battleship using the Witchcraft technique Klein had taught him.
With a flash of light, a Star Realm Battleship much larger than the others appeared before the rock island.
’That’s the *Morning Sky*, Klein’s ship from before he became a Morning Star.’
As Andre deployed his Star Realm Battleship, Josen noticed there was something special about it. He glanced at Andre, and in that instant, recognized the ship’s origin.
’This must be the disciple of one of Klein’s own disciples. Judging by his age, he’s probably Radak’s student.’
’Among all of Klein’s disciples, only Radak has recently accepted a student.’
While Josen was speculating about Andre’s identity, Andre was already being brought aboard the battleship.
The moment Andre’s feet touched the Star Realm Battleship, it shuddered slightly. A protective light enveloped him, shielding him from the surrounding radiation and creating a safe zone.
A moment later, a humanoid figure materialized in front of Andre.
"You are...?" Andre asked, looking at the figure with a flicker of uncertainty.
’I have an idea of what this figure is, but I can’t be certain.’
"Hello. My name is Wei Xing. I am the Witch Brain Core of this ship, the *Morning Sky*."
The figure introduced herself upon seeing Andre.
"Hello," Andre said, nodding at Wei Xing. He knew what she was.
A Witch Brain Core was a type of optical computer simulated with Demon Patterns and Witchcraft—a technology the Wizard World had developed after invading numerous Technology Civilization Worlds.
They were also the perfect assistants for Wizards navigating the Star Realm.
"Time since last activation: seven thousand, three hundred sixty-one years, six months, seven days, eight hours, seven minutes, and three seconds. Commencing self-diagnostic scan."
Wei Xing looked at Andre, then began her self-check.
Instantly, streams of light appeared, creating holographic displays of the Star Realm Battleship’s various sections as the scan swept through the entire vessel.
"Diagnostic complete. Would you like to view the ship’s status?"
As the lights faded, the blank look left Wei Xing’s eyes.
"First, take me to the Central Control Room!"
Andre shook his head. He hadn’t yet taken control of this Star Realm Battleship; he had only just boarded it.
To truly take command, he needed to get to the Central Control Room and claim his authority.
Wei Xing nodded and led Andre to the Central Control Room.
Upon arriving, Andre placed his hand on the Magic Energy Screen of the central console.
As his palm print was recorded, a spark of life ignited in Wei Xing’s previously vacant eyes. This meant he was now the master of the *Morning Sky*.
The moment he left his palm print, Andre learned that the *Morning Sky* was an offensive Stellar Battleship with a spindle-shaped hull.
Distributed near the front of its central axis were eight Magic Energy Giant Cannons.
Two were small Magic Energy Giant Cannons, responsible for clearing away rocks and debris encountered during travel through the Star Realm.
Four were medium Magic Energy Giant Cannons for attacking hostile Star Realm Battleships, with the goal of shattering their outer defenses.
And finally, two large Magic Energy Giant Cannons could pierce straight through an enemy Star Realm Battleship.
After reading the description of the two large Magic Energy Giant Cannons, Andre immediately had Wei Xing find the requirements for firing them.
When the requirements appeared before him, Andre felt as if he had been dealt a heavy blow.
Each shot from the two large Magic Energy Giant Cannons would consume one percent of the *Morning Sky’s* energy.
’They’re incredibly powerful, but the energy drain is just as incredible.’
Seeing this requirement, Andre took out a Space Ring and gave it to Wei Xing.
He told Wei Xing to pour all the Magic Stones from the Storage Ring into the reserve chamber, in case of an energy shortage during their voyage in the Star Realm.
But after Wei Xing deposited the Magic Stones into the reserve chamber, the corner of Andre’s eye couldn’t help but twitch.
That was one million Medium Magic Stones, yet the reserves displayed by the chamber hadn’t even increased by one percent.
’At this rate, I’ll have to use Elemental Crystals just to refuel this Star Realm Battleship.’
Andre sighed, then had Wei Xing display the detailed specifications for the *Morning Sky*.
A faint light shimmered, and the ship’s full specifications appeared before him.
He had already learned about the Magic Energy Giant Cannons, and he now knew the general specifications of the *Morning Sky* as well.
The *Morning Sky* was 4.6 kilometers long, 2.7 kilometers wide, and 852 meters high.
Andre knew about the weapons: the Magic Energy Giant Cannons and the War Witchcraft Artifacts.
But this was the first time he had ever seen the Witchcraft Arrays used on a Star Realm Battleship.
’War Fog, Star Chain, Space Travel, Phantom Light, Blinding Technique... for ambushes, assaults, and escapes. A very complete set.’
Andre understood the functions of these Witchcraft Arrays just by reading their names. He nodded and continued down the list.
Below the Witchcraft Arrays were the various War Witchcraft Artifacts installed on the *Morning Sky*.
There were a total of four War Witchcraft Artifacts on the *Morning Sky*: the Hammer of Starfire, the Sky-Splitting Blade, the Starlight Battleship, and the Mirror of Radiance.
"Wei Xing, please give me an overview of what these War Witchcraft Artifacts do."
Andre looked at the list of War Witchcraft Artifacts Wei Xing had displayed, a flash of curiosity in his eyes.
"Of course. The Hammer of Starfire, when activated, can summon a fiery meteor shower to attack the enemy. Its base power is equivalent to a Level 3 Witchcraft, but with the *Morning Sky’s* energy amplification, its power can rival that of a Morning Star Witchcraft."
"The Sky-Splitting Blade can tear space to form a spatial passageway. It can be used either to attack enemies or to escape pursuit."
"The Starlight Battleship can summon a phantom warship within the Star Realm, composed of light from various worlds, to ram an opponent."
"The Mirror of Radiance is a purely offensive Witchcraft Artifact. Inscribed upon it is a series of Witchcrafts, such as Radiant Impact and Radiant Brilliance."
