Mortal Saint establishes a compelling premise by combining the desperation of a slave's life with a structured growth system. The Daoist Talisman provides a concrete roadmap for the protagonist's advancement, which creates an immediate sense of anticipation for the reader. However, with only three chapters currently available, the novel is far too early in its lifecycle to provide a comprehensive narrative experience. We have seen the setup, but the execution of the overarching plot remains entirely theoretical. The Eastern fantasy setting is standard, and while the grind mechanic is satisfying, the lack of substantial content makes it a risky investment for readers who prefer completed works.
