Synopsis
A specialized performance system recruits Ruan Wan to inhabit the roles of antagonists across multiple dimensions. The objective is straightforward: embody a villain, suffer a wretched demise, and thereby propel the world's protagonist, Rong Yue, toward ultimate success. Ruan Wan, characterized by a fragile and delicate nature, takes his assignment seriously, attempting to ensure his own downfall for the sake of the script. Complications arise, however, as Rong Yue consistently deviates from the expected path, showing an unexpected protectiveness that thwarts every attempt at a tragic ending. The tone remains whimsical and affectionate, focusing more on the romantic friction between the two leads than on the actual mechanics of the worlds they inhabit. This light, breezy approach rewards those seeking a low-conflict, sweet romance where the tension comes from a misunderstanding of roles. Conversely, the lack of depth in the setting might leave those desiring a rigorous plot feeling unsatisfied.

Editorial Review
From an editorial standpoint, the core appeal lies in the role-reversal dynamic. Watching a protagonist actively strive for a miserable end only to be thwarted by the very person he is supposed to empower creates a charming, comedic loop. The chemistry between the fragile Ruan Wan and the insistent Rong Yue is well-established despite the limited space. However, the brevity of the work is a significant drawback. With only eleven chapters to cover multiple worlds and a system-wide resolution, the execution feels rushed. The quick travel aspect is taken perhaps too literally, leaving little room for the settings to feel lived-in or the emotional beats to fully land. It functions more as a collection of romantic vignettes than a cohesive novel. While the happy ending is satisfying, the overall experience is too brief to leave a lasting impact on the genre.
