Chapter 355: The weeknd Night 10

"Honestly. I was very angry with you Kiara. Really angry.," he said. "I didn’t want to see your face. I meant it at the time. But lately I realized something. Whenever my father goes out to track you, Mira gets quiet and sick with worry until he walks back through the door. The same thing happens when I leave for the academy or outside. She waits. She keeps food warm. She listens for the door."He paused, choosing the next words with care.

"I have a mother who does that. A home. Family at the table. Hot food that tastes like someone cared enough to make it. And I realized that exact thing was stolen from you. I can understand how deep the anger would go. I was selfish. I kept thinking about what you did to me and not enough about what you were carrying. So..."

The smile edged a little wider, touched with real apology.

"Sorry, Kiara. I might have been a bit too angry at you."

As he spoke, something heavy in his chest loosened and left.

The admission sat in the open air and did not crush him the way he had expected.

Kiara’s face crumpled.

Tears slipped free and ran down her cheeks in clear tracks.

She stepped in again and hugged him tighter than before, face pressed into the curve of his neck and shoulder.

Her shoulders shook with the force of the quiet weeping she could no longer hold back.

"Thank you, Lor," she managed against his skin. "Thank you for understanding."

Lor’s arms closed around her in return.

He held her firmly, one hand spread between her shoulder blades, the other lower at the soft curve of her waist.

His own eyes had gone warm and wet at the edges even while the small smile remained.

He did not fully understand why the tears wanted to rise.

He only knew that the dull ache from earlier had changed into something cleaner.

They stayed like that under the moonlight, the breeze moving across the roof and through her long black hair, her taller frame folded into him, both of them holding on as if the contact itself was the first honest thing either had been allowed in a long time.

When Kiara finally lifted her head, her blue eyes were still wet and very close.

Lor’s face was right there.

The space between them had become almost nothing.

She did not pull away.

Neither did he.

The kiss began slowly.

It was not hungry at first. It was careful, the kind of contact that tested whether the other person would remain.

Kiara’s mouth met his with the salt of her tears still on her lips.

Lor answered with equal care, one hand rising to the side of her neck, thumb resting just below her jaw.

The second the initial hesitation passed, the kiss deepened by mutual agreement—still unhurried, still heavy with everything that had been said, but no longer tentative.

Her full chest pressed more firmly against him.

His other hand settled at the small of her back and held her there.

Long black hair spilled over his wrist as the breeze caught it.

The soft, wet sound of the kiss mixed with the quiet night around them.

When they finally parted it was only by a fraction, enough to breathe, foreheads nearly touching, the moon still high above the rooftops.

Kiara’s eyes remained closed for a second longer.

When she opened them the tears had not stopped, but the expression beneath them had changed into something quieter and more open than he had seen in a long time.

The heavy ache that had sat in her chest for weeks felt lighter. Lor was not looking at her with anger anymore.

That single fact kept turning over inside her, warm and almost unbelievable.

"I feel better," she said quietly. "Knowing you’re not angry at me anymore. It feels... good. Really good."

Lor’s hands were still at her waist. He gave a small nod.

"I know. I feel it too."

Kiara’s mouth curved.

The tiredness was still there, but something softer sat underneath it now.

She leaned in again.

This kiss was slower than the first, less urgent, more certain.

Her lips moved against his with quiet care.

Lor answered the same way, one hand rising to the side of her neck, fingers resting just under the edge of her jaw.

Long black hair brushed his wrist as the night breeze passed over them.

When they finally parted, Kiara’s blue eyes stayed on his for another second.

"I have to go," she said.

Lor nodded.

"Stay safe."

"I will."

She stepped back half a pace, then stopped.

A small, familiar spark of mischief flickered across her face — the same look she used to wear before everything had broken.

"I have a gift for you."

Lor raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Close your eyes."

He did.

The roof was quiet except for the breeze and the distant night sounds of the street below.

A few seconds passed. Fabric shifted.

Something light and warm moved closer.

"Open."

Lor opened his eyes.

Kiara stood directly in front of him with her top pulled up.

Her full breasts were bare in the moonlight — pale, heavy, and perfectly shaped, the soft weight of them settling naturally.

Her nipples were a soft pink against the cooler night air, already slightly tight from the breeze.

The undersides curved full and smooth.

The long black hair that framed her face and shoulders only made the sight clearer.

She was smiling, a real, open laugh already starting in her throat.

"Did you like your gift?"

Lor couldn’t stop staring. Then he nodded, still visibly amazed.

Kiara’s laugh came freely this time, bright and unguarded under the moon.

She tossed the black bra straight at his face. The soft fabric landed across his eyes and nose.

By the time he pulled it away, the roof in front of him was empty.

Only the faint sound of boots landing on a neighboring tile reached him, already moving away into the dark.

Lor stood there holding her bra, the night air cool against his skin, the taste of the second kiss still on his mouth.

A quiet, satisfied breath left him.

He folded the bra once, tucked it inside his jacket, and climbed back down toward his open window.

The room felt the same as he had left it.

He latched the window, sat on the edge of the bed, and let the silence of the house settle around him.

Outside, the moon kept shining over the rooftops.

Somewhere farther away, Kiara was already disappearing into the city.

Lor lay back and closed his eyes with a deep satisfied sigh.

His lips curved into a smile naturally.
