Vergil slowly opened his eyes without immediately understanding where he was. His vision remained blurry, and for several seconds everything around him seemed like a mixture of shadows, colored lights, and distant shapes. His body felt heavy, but there was no pain. No broken ribs, no torn muscles, no residual presence of Gungnir trying to pierce his soul. The ground beneath his back was soft, covered in black, shining vegetation that moved like small blades of grass made from energy.
This was not the mansion.
Nor was it Viviane’s Spiritual Lake.
Vergil breathed deeply and immediately recognized the signature surrounding him.
His inner world.
He tried to sit up, but something heavy pressed against his left arm. When he turned his face, he found Qliphoth lying beside him, completely naked, resting on one elbow while watching him with a smile far too wide to be innocent. Her long red hair spread across the ground like living roots, and her eyes shone with almost childish intensity.
Not far away, Nivara, Crymsaria, and Itharine sat around a small table drinking tea as though the presence of a naked woman beside Vergil were merely another ordinary detail of that place.
Crymsaria raised her eyes from the cup.
"You finally woke up."
Vergil looked around before staring at the dragon.
"What happened?"
"You are sleeping in the real world," Crymsaria replied. "Viviane placed your body at the bottom of a spiritual lake, and your consciousness was pulled here because your soul needed to stabilize the new connection with..."
She did not manage to finish.
Qliphoth threw herself on top of Vergil.
Her body crashed against his with enough force to knock him back to the ground, and the Demonic Tree seized his face with both hands before kissing him as though she were trying to devour his mouth. There was no gentleness. Qliphoth kissed him with the desperate excitement of someone who had received exactly what she wanted and did not know how to express gratitude in any other way.
Vergil tried to push her away by the shoulder.
She tightened her arms around his neck.
He increased his strength.
Qliphoth locked her legs around his waist and continued kissing him, completely ignoring his attempt to separate them.
Nivara took another sip of tea.
"She has been like this for a while."
Itharine shrugged.
"It could be worse."
Crymsaria looked toward her.
"How?"
"She could be screaming."
Qliphoth released Vergil’s mouth only to breathe.
"I LOVE YOU!"
Crymsaria closed her eyes.
"And there it is."
Vergil seized Qliphoth by the waist, turned his body, and pushed her away with enough force to place her several meters away in a seated position. She slid across the ground but continued smiling while her hair moved around her body.
"Stop."
"But you gave me the greatest gift I have ever received!"
"I stole a bridge."
"EXACTLY!"
Vergil frowned.
Qliphoth jumped to her feet and pointed upward with both hands.
"Look!"
Vergil raised his face.
Only then did he realize that the sky of his inner world had completely changed.
Before, that dimension possessed a dark vault crossed by red clouds, black branches, and small stars formed from fragments of memory and energy. Now, a multicolored band crossed the firmament from one end to the other. Red, gold, blue, green, violet, and white mixed within a luminous structure that looked exactly like the Rainbow Bridge.
It was not merely a representation of the Bifröst.
It was an extension of it.
The colors flowed across the sky and disappeared among invisible branches, crossing points where Vergil’s inner space connected to the Demon Realm. Beneath the light, enormous roots of Qliphoth rose along the horizon and reached toward the firmament, touching the bridge like fingers trying to seize a far greater structure.
Vergil remained silent for several seconds.
"What happened?"
Crymsaria placed the cup on the table.
"That slut wanted to create a connection with Yggdrasil."
Qliphoth placed her hands on her waist, completely proud of herself.
"And I succeeded."
Nivara looked at her coldly.
"The pervert wanted to become stronger. When you tore the Bifröst out of Asgard and allowed Qliphoth to wrap around the structure, she used the bridge as an entrance to reach a secondary root of Yggdrasil."
Vergil looked back toward the sky.
"Is the Bifröst still connected to the World Tree?"
"Partially," Nivara replied. "You broke Asgard’s authority over the bridge, but you did not destroy its nature. The Bifröst remains a route created through Yggdrasil’s roots. Qliphoth found that connection and inserted her own energy into it."
Crymsaria crossed her arms.
"In simple terms, she hacked into a multiversal network that does not belong to her."
Qliphoth pointed toward her own chest.
"Now a little of it belongs to me."
Vergil passed a hand over his face.
"You stole energy from Yggdrasil."
"Only a little."
"How much?"
Qliphoth tilted her head thoughtfully.
"That depends on what you consider a little."
Nivara answered for her.
"The flow remains minimal compared to the true extent of the World Tree. But for Qliphoth, it is a significant amount. She gained access to energy coming from thousands of smaller branches."
"Billions," Qliphoth corrected.
Crymsaria looked at her.
"You are not connected to billions."
"Not yet."
Vergil released a long sigh.
Only then did he notice another detail.
Qliphoth had approached again and now knelt in front of him, leaning forward while explaining something about roots, branches, and negative flow. Her breasts, already large before, now seemed even larger, pressing against his face whenever she moved too close.
Vergil held her shoulders and pushed her several centimeters backward.
"You changed."
Qliphoth gave him a mischievous smile.
"You noticed?"
"It is difficult not to when your breasts cover half my vision."
She looked down at her own body with satisfaction and held her breasts with both hands.
"I became stronger."
Crymsaria gave a nasal laugh.
"Of course that is the first manifestation she chose."
Nivara maintained her cold expression.
"She controls her internal form. The increase was unnecessary."
Qliphoth looked toward her.
"It was necessary to me."
Itharine calmly drank her tea.
"Honest."
Vergil kept his eyes on the multicolored sky.
"Does this connection affect anything outside this place?"
Qliphoth released her breasts and approached again, this time trying to maintain a minimally acceptable distance.
"It affects everything."
Vergil looked toward her.
"Explain."
"The stronger I become, the more energy I can produce for you. My roots will grow faster, my body in the Demon Realm will withstand greater loads, and I will be able to absorb energy from larger dimensions without needing to tear everything away at once."
She pointed toward the sky.
"Yggdrasil crosses sectors, worlds, and realities. I cannot access the entire tree, but the root that fed the Bifröst touches paths I could never reach on my own. Now I can study those paths, copy structures, and, with enough time, create routes of my own."
Vergil narrowed his eyes.
"You can create another Bifröst?"
Qliphoth looked offended.
"I can create something better."
Crymsaria rested her face against one hand.
"She says that because she is jealous."
"I AM NOT JEALOUS OF AN OLD TREE!"
The entire sky trembled.
Nivara looked upward.
"Perhaps you should not insult the entity whose root you just invaded."
Qliphoth fell silent.
Then she moved closer to Vergil and spoke more quietly.
"She cannot hear us from here, right?"
No one answered.
Vergil closed his eyes for an instant.
"You did this without knowing whether it would attract the World Tree’s attention."
Qliphoth smiled.
"I knew it would."
"And you did it anyway."
"You stole the bridge. I needed to take advantage of it."
Vergil studied her face. Qliphoth did not appear concerned. She was genuinely satisfied, almost euphoric, as though that connection had opened a horizon she had never imagined reaching.
He looked back toward the firmament.
The colors of the Bifröst flowed over the inner world, mixing with the black roots and creating small points of energy where nothing had existed before. The connection was real. Unstable, perhaps dangerous, but real.
"What happens if the World Tree decides to cut you off?"
Qliphoth brought her face close to his.
"Then you protect me."
Vergil remained silent.
She smiled.
"Husband."
Crymsaria snorted.
"Manipulator."
Qliphoth stuck her tongue out at her.
Vergil pushed the Demonic Tree’s face away with one hand and stood.
"Do not steal more energy without warning me."
Qliphoth remained seated on the ground, watching him with shining eyes.
"Does that mean I can steal it if I warn you?"
"No."
"Then why warn you?"
"So I can stop you."
She pouted.
Nivara took another sip of tea.
"This conversation will repeat itself many times."
Itharine nodded.
"Definitely."
Vergil looked once more toward the bridge in the sky.
Somewhere beyond his inner world, something was watching the newly formed connection.
And it was not angry.
Yet.
"So..." Qliphoth murmured quietly. "Can we fuck? I am really fucking horny because of all this energy!" she said calmly.
Nivara and Crymsaria looked toward her, along with Itharine.
"What? Stop acting crazy. You are all holding yourselves back too," she accused. "It is Husband’s fault! Yes! But all of you keep playing hard to get. Those two are rivals, but they abandoned everything just to follow him, and neither one takes the initiative. Just admit that you want to make babies! I am tired of this!"
Crymsaria and Nivara quickly looked away while trying to hide their reactions. Vergil saw it and blinked twice.
Qliphoth turned toward Itharine.
"And you are even worse. You have been holding back so much that I caught you masturbating in secret behind there."
She pointed toward a house they had created.
"You!!!" Itharine shouted, embarrassed.
...
Far beyond that universe, beyond the pantheons, dimensions, galaxies, and sectors known to Vergil, a woman remained seated before an expanse impossible to comprehend.
There was no ground beneath her feet.
Nor was there a sky.
Only roots.
Billions of them.
Roots as thick as universes crossed the void in every direction, dividing into trillions of smaller branches, each connected to entire sectors of reality. Galaxies, worlds, dimensions, and cycles of life were born around them. Some carried civilizations. Others transported energy between systems. Still others sustained the fundamental laws of spaces so distant that they would never share a single star.
The woman observed everything with a calm expression.
Her hair was long and possessed a color that changed whenever the roots moved, shifting between green, gold, white, and tones that did not exist within ordinary spectrums. Her body was covered by a dress made from leaves, light, and tiny fragments of worlds. She appeared human only because she had chosen a form her own mind found entertaining.
In front of her, a tiny root flickered.
Tiny at that scale.
Even so, the root fed an entire collection of paths between the Nine Realms and their external connections. A small stain of negative energy had attached itself to the flow, advancing with surprisingly bold caution and stealing minute portions of power.
The woman rested her face against one hand.
"This is the first time one of my daughters has decided to hack my roots to become stronger."
Another woman stood beside her.
She possessed long black hair descending below her waist, cold eyes, and a presence so absolute that the space surrounding her seemed endless. She wore sharply defined black lingerie decorated with details far too elegant to match the complete lack of expression on her face.
She was looking toward another distant branch.
"She is not your direct daughter."
The World Tree shrugged.
"Everything that grows through roots likes to pretend it is not my daughter until it needs energy."
She touched the small connection with the tip of one finger.
On the other side, Qliphoth moved inside Vergil’s inner world, completely unaware that she was being observed.
"Interesting. A little perverted sprout of negative energy."
The black-haired woman slowly turned her eyes toward her.
"You call everything perverted."
The World Tree looked at her clothing.
"You are wearing lingerie."
"I like the humans’ pretty clothes."
"That barely counts as clothing."
The black-haired woman observed her own body.
"My body is perverted too."
The sentence came out so coldly and objectively that the World Tree remained silent for one second.
Then she began laughing.
"You are very strange, Infinity."
"You are too."
"I am a tree."
"You can assume any form."
"So can you."
"That is why I look like this."
The World Tree leaned slightly closer, observing the black lingerie with exaggerated attention.
"It is unfortunate that we are both women. I would love to try certain things with you."
Infinity’s expression did not change.
"You can become a man whenever you wish."
The World Tree blinked.
Infinity continued:
"Pervert."
"You completely ruined the mood."
"There was no mood."
The World Tree turned her attention back toward the invaded root.
"I am going to leave the little sprout alone. She is stealing so little that it is almost adorable. But if she tries to pull too much energy or approaches a main branch, I will need to interfere."
Infinity observed the connection for several seconds.
"You may not be able to."
The World Tree raised an eyebrow.
"How?"
"A part of me tried to interfere with that man."
She pointed toward the flow leading to Vergil’s universe.
"It failed."
The World Tree’s amused expression diminished slightly.
"You are saying that a part of the Dragon of Infinity could not affect him?"
"Yes."
"Because it lacked strength?"
"No."
"Conceptual resistance?"
"Not that either."
Infinity remained silent for several seconds.
"Destiny."
The word caused several nearby roots to stop moving.
The World Tree observed the woman more closely.
Infinity continued:
"I, Ouroboros, can cross spaces, worlds, and boundaries. I can occupy that which has no end. Even so, I cannot alter certain lines when they approach that man. The destiny surrounding him is not fixed, but it rejects external interference."
The World Tree tilted her head.
"Like that... Dante?"
Infinity’s face immediately hardened.
A small frown appeared between her eyebrows.
"You ruined my day."
She turned away.
The space before her opened without a portal, light, or movement. Infinity simply walked and ceased to be there, taking that limitless presence with her.
The World Tree remained alone before the roots.
"Wow, how temperamental..."
She looked back toward the small sprout of negative energy attached to the Bifröst root.
"I actually liked her," she murmured. "It is a shame she is so young. If she were around twenty thousand years old, I would try to make her my successor. She is only twelve thousand."
