Skills

Spiritual Abnormality

A skill indicating a mental composition different from normal humans. All magic, special skills, potions, and anything else with effects on the mental spirit are null and void on the holder of this skill. However, the individual does not become entirely emotionless. The only human holder of this skill is Vandal. Others include a select few among the Demon and Devil Gods who appeared from another world and creatures similar to them.

Spiritual Corrosion

A skill that allows the user to influence the mind of the target, altering their personality, awareness, and memories. Use requires communication of some form with the target, such as direct contact, conversation, or meeting their eyes. It can also be used via indirect contact, such having them read a letter or hear a recorded voice. In the case of Bubuldoura, the skill was triggered when someone read from the forbidden text that he had turned himself into. In the case of Vandal, he hasn’t yet achieved the same potency as Bubuldoura when it comes to using this skill, such as directly brainwashing and controlling targets. However, it is highly effective when used by Vandal on the dead.

Physical Length Change

A skill that allows a part or all of the body to extend or contract. The volume of change that is allowed depends on the level: double at level 1, four times at level 2, eight times at level 3, increasing exponentially from there. Although the part extends or contracts, it does not take on any rubber-like properties. There are no humans who possess this skill.

Scream

A skill that affects targets using sound. The screams of monsters such as Mandragoras and Banshees utilize this skill.

As Vandal can use this skill combined with Soul Crush and Spiritual Corrosion, he can cause wide-range sensory and magical damage simply by subjecting targets to his scream. Causing sufficient mental damage can even drive the targets insane. He can also use the skill to simply amplify his voice, allowing him to make himself heard and give speeches without the need for a loudspeaker or microphone.

Aliases

Demon King Reborn

An Alias that indicates that the bearer is the second coming of the Demon King. It takes more than simply being assumed as such: an individual needs to be able to do the same things as Demon King Gudranis in order to acquire it. Such deeds include crushing souls, creating new types of monsters, and building dungeons. It is also possible to acquire it by incorporating, absorbing, or being incorporated into a piece of the Demon King.

Those who do acquire it receive all sorts of bonuses for handling forbidden techniques and evil knowledge. In particular, they get bonuses for creating new monsters and altering existing ones. One example of this is Princess Lebia and the other ghosts ranking up to Flame Ghost and Fire Ghost. However, bearers cannot create or change any type of monster with zero restrictions. There are all sorts of detailed conditions and compatibilities that apply.

Guardian of Pioneering

An Alias given to those who aid people performing settlement work and help solve their problems. The bearer must be perceived as doing so by at least ninety percent of those working in the specific area.

When one with this Alias is involved in pioneer projects, such projects become more likely to succeed. It also makes it more likely that the one with the Alias will happen to be in the vicinity when said area faces a crisis. There are other Aliases with similar effects, such as Goddess of Pioneering and Savior of Pioneering.

Jobs

Poison Master

A job for people with knowledge of various chemicals and their effects and the capability to make, use, and break them down, combined with a Brawling Proficiency skill of at least level 3. As it requires scientific knowledge, Vandal is the only one on Ramda who can possibly take this Job.

It allows for skills like Poison Dispersal—which involves the secretion of various chemicals from the fangs, tongue, and claws—and Physical Boost, which strengthens the claws, tongue, and fangs. It also offers bonuses to Brawling Proficiency, making it fairly suited to fighting on the frontline. It allows for stat gains in Vitality, Muscle, and Agility, but less gains for Magical Power and Intellect.
