"Use Card."
[This Card building covers a 50x50 area. Please confirm that the target location has sufficient empty space.]
A brilliant light covered the area in front.
A large area was enveloped in the light.
When the light dissipated,
A massive, cube-like building stood where there was once nothing.
The building had a peculiar shape, like a giant tower wrapped in white silk.
The main structure was an inverted cone, wide at the top and narrow at the bottom. Its base was sunk deep into the ground, while eight curved pillars extended from the top, propping it up like the eight legs of a spider.
Layers upon layers of webbing were draped between the pillars, some as large as sails, others as fine as gauze curtains.
[Advanced Building · Level 2 Skynet Weaving Mill: Level 3 Silk Toughness Boost, Level 3 Silk Production Efficiency Boost, Level 2 Silk Fire Resistance Boost] (Special Effect: Any spider that inhabits the Skynet Weaving Mill will temporarily awaken a talent for spinning and weaving silk.)
After reading the building’s effects, Qin Ziwen pondered. ’This building is interesting.’
’It’s probably a special building from the Underworld.’
The ability to grant all spiders silk-spinning capabilities immediately made him think of the Aphid-Bellied Spiders.
An Aphid-Bellied Spider was still a spider.
A spider that could spin silk was a good spider. Those adult Aphid-Bellied Spiders that had completed their breeding tasks were perfect for a second career.
The adult Aphid-Bellied Spiders that had been brought along with the Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle were wild and difficult to command. Getting them to follow orders in battle was hard, but making them spin silk would be much simpler.
The next morning, Qin Ziwen took the Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle and had it lead the Aphid-Bellied Spiders to the Skynet Weaving Mill.
When the Aphid-Bellied Spiders arrived, they first circled the area several times. Then, as if drawn by some unseen force, they all scrambled up the pillars, stuck out their rears, and began to extrude silk.
"Tsk, they’re quite proactive." Qin Ziwen clicked his tongue in amazement. The Skynet Weaving Mill was quite large.
More importantly, it was also quite tall. The Aphid-Bellied Spiders climbed at least five or six meters high, and the silk threads trailing from their abdomens hung in the air, shimmering and translucent like fishing line.
Seeing that the Aphid-Bellied Spiders were on the right track, Qin Ziwen didn’t linger. He tugged the Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle along, making it return to the Giant Beast Breeding Center.
The Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle had been reluctant and listless when it came out, but on the way back, it showed a strong desire to return, breaking into a trot.
Qin Ziwen could finally see it for what it was—the Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle was just a lazy bug.
The type that would rather lie down than run around.
He heard that when it was first discovered in the Underground Forest, the Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle was just lying there, and even after being found, it remained motionless.
Upon returning to the Giant Beast Breeding Center, the young Aphid-Bellied Spiders swarmed over, surrounding the Giant Aphid Rhinoceros Beetle.
A few bold ones, unafraid of people, crawled up his shoes and pant leg, finally settling on his cuff.
If a walnut-sized spider had crawled onto his palm right after he’d first arrived, he would’ve at least broken into a tap dance.
But now, he was used to it. Qin Ziwen casually stroked the small spider in his palm, then squatted down and placed it on the ground.
After leaving the Giant Beast Breeding Center, he saw that the Giant Beast Feed Processing Plant next door was brightly lit.
Braziers had been set up one after another, illuminating the surroundings as bright as day.
A large crowd formed a long line. Some were dissecting and preparing dinosaur carcasses, others were responsible for carrying them, and at the exit on the other side, several people were sorting canned goods and packing them into boxes.
Everything was in perfect order.
There were many dinosaur carcasses. The crowd had been busy all night, and there were still plenty of bodies waiting in line.
Several hours had passed since these dinosaur carcasses were found. Coupled with the hot environment of the Gobi Desert, it was hard to preserve them. So everyone was working overtime, trying to get them all processed into cans at the factory before they spoiled.
Batch after batch of cans was transported from the exit.
Qin Ziwen watched from a distance for a while, spotting Nie Pan in the crowd ahead. He was wearing an apron and gloves, sorting and preparing the carcasses.
At the edge of the line, Nie Pan was cleaning and dissecting a dinosaur. Once he confirmed it was acceptable, someone would lift the body and toss it into the factory entrance.
Not far behind Nie Pan, two children followed him. They weren’t causing trouble, just standing there quietly. When Nie Pan seemed tired from talking, the older one would run over with a thermos.
"Your kids are really well-behaved," praised a man carrying supplies.
Hearing his children praised, Nie Pan beamed. "They used to be a real handful. Since coming here, they’ve become much more sensible and don’t cause me any worry."
"It’s the tough environment that forges people. My oldest daughter is the same. She used to come home from school and just flop on the couch to play on her phone. Now she’s joined the Military Equipment Supervisor and works in the Armor Workshop," the middle-aged man remarked with a sigh.
"That’s great! The Military Equipment Supervisor is a good place to be." Nie Pan gave him a thumbs-up.

"This place is pretty good. We’ve already run into two waves of Fishmen." Yan Da licked his lips, looking at the Fishman corpses lying before him.
A few days after accepting the mission, he had brought his two brothers and a squad of Fishmen to the underground caverns to specifically hunt Dark Tide Fishmen.
These Dark Tide Fishmen were easy to kill. In terms of individual physical prowess, they were even a notch below humans.
With the Hunting Artifact, Fishman’s Cry, in hand, they could easily handle anything short of a large-scale Fishman group.
But the Fishmen weren’t stupid. After several days of having large numbers of their kin assassinated, they quickly grew cautious.
"Big Brother, these Fishmen are getting more and more cautious. I think they might be planning something big," Yan San said in a low voice.
"Cautious is good. Their caution gives us an opportunity," Yan Da said, his eyes narrowing.
The most difficult part of this mission wasn’t killing one hundred Fishmen, but killing one Extraordinary Fishman!
With enough searching, they could always manage to rack up a count of ordinary Dark Tide Fishmen.
The Dark Tide Fishman Tribe was massive, and they had plenty of members! Over the past few days, they’d often spotted Dark Tide Fishmen underwater, searching for something.
He had already fulfilled nearly half of his one-hundred-Fishman quota.
The real challenge was the Extraordinary Fishman.
According to the information he had gathered, Fishmen who reached the Extraordinary level were extremely rare within a Fishman Tribe!
Take Lorne’s Fishman Tribe, for example. Most of their members were ordinary Fishmen. No more than ten had reached the Extraordinary level, and most of those were physically frail Priests who almost never left the depths of the tribe unless there was a crisis.
The individual strength of the Dark Tide Fishmen was inferior to that of the Island Fishmen, so their proportion of Extraordinary members was even smaller.
To get a chance at an Extraordinary Dark Tide Fishman, they had to lure it out of its tribe.
"Is the bait in place?" Yan Da looked at his brother.
Yan Wu nodded. "It is."
Yan Da turned to the Fishman Leader behind him and said, "Good. Now we just wait for them to take the bait. Lord Luo, we will have to trouble you to take action in a moment."
"Act without worry. I happen to want to see the Extraordinary of another Fishman Tribe for myself." Luo Hai crossed his arms. Ever since being humbled by Mogu’s Divine Power, he had subconsciously started to imitate some of his mannerisms.
